Why Four Gables?

There are so many breeders out there and, unfortunately, many of them are not doing the health testing that's necessary to ensure that your new family member is healthy. Our drive to breed dogs was borne out of the devastation we felt when two of our standard poodles came to us with lifelong health issues. When we searched for a Goldendoodle, many of the breeders we contacted were unaware of issues in the Poodle breed that should be avoided. Furthermore, most breeders weren't testing for health on both Poodles and Golden Retrievers. It's for that reason that our dogs have had full genetic screenings, hip and elbow testing as well as heart and eye certification. We have provided you with a link to a copy of their tests. We understand how important it is to know what you're getting and do your research.  

We want you to know that this isn't our first experience with breeding. We spent years breeding Korat cats. Our litters yielded CFA and TICA grand champions and were so sought after that buyers flew to Georgia from around the country and France to acquire kittens from our line. Our kittens went on to become European Grand Champions. Careful and thoughtful breeding has and will always be our focus. Our cats are currently 17 and 18, so when we say we want to give you a companion who will live a long and healthy life, we really mean it. 

While the health of our puppies is of the utmost importance to us, it goes hand in hand with their temperament. This is a small operation - our dogs are our family, and they are raised in our home. They are cuddly, smart and gentle. They play with each other and our cats. We'll only have your puppy for a short portion of its life, but we promise that as a small breeder, we're giving them the individual care and attention they need to fit seamlessly into your family.
